How does the Remote FOB system work?
The system uses a wireless remote (fob) to electronically trigger the kennel’s locking mechanism. One click releases the door—allowing instant access to your dog without manually opening the crate.
What is the range of the fob remote?
The effective range is around 200 feet, depending on environmental factors and line-of-sight conditions.
How often should I charge the battery?
Battery life depends on use. We recommend charging the kennel battery every 3–4 weeks, and the fob every 1–2 months under typical use. Please refer to the volt meter on your kennel.
For optimal performance and battery lifespan, charge when the battery drops to 30-40%. Never allow the battery to fall below 10%, as it may no longer accept a charge or hold power effectively.
Is the battery replaceable?
Yes, the battery is replaceable. Please contact Guardian K9 Lock Solutions for approved replacements to ensure system compatibility.
Can the kennel withstand extreme weather?
Absolutely. Guardian K9 kennels are engineered for durability and tested against rain, snow, heat, and cold. While it’s weather-resistant, we always recommend occasional inspection in extreme climates.
