What happens if the battery in the remote or kennel dies, or if I lose my key fob?
Each kennel comes with a built-in mechanical key override. Simply insert your backup key and turn to release the lock manually. Users are advised to maintain battery levels above 10% to prevent permanent battery degradation.
I lost my remote. How do I get a replacement?

How do I program my replacement fob?
Programming instructions are included with your fob. Contact us if you need a PDF of them.
Can I use my smartphone instead of the fob?

Battery & Charging
What charger comes with the system?
Each kennel system includes the SKYRC S100neo AC/DC Smart Balance Charger, engineered for safe and reliable charging with intelligent voltage monitoring.
How often should I charge the battery?
Battery life depends on use. We recommend charging the kennel battery every 3–4 weeks, and the fob every 1–2 months under typical use. Please refer to the volt meter on your kennel. For optimal performance and battery lifespan, charge when the battery drops to 30-40%. Never allow the battery to fall below 10%, as it may no longer accept a charge or hold power effectively.
Is the battery replaceable?
Yes, the battery is replaceable. Please contact Guardian K9 Lock Solutions for approved replacements to ensure system compatibility.
Can I leave the charger connected overnight?
No. Never leave batteries charging unattended or overnight. Always monitor charging and follow the guidelines in the SKYRC user manual included with your purchase.
What battery type does the fob use?
The key fob uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Details and charger specs are provided in your manual.
Will my dog be startled by the sound when it unlocks?
Our lock system is designed to be quiet, with no loud clicking or mechanical noise that could startle sensitive dogs.

What if my dog tries to chew the crate?
The kennel is constructed with HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) is a strong and durable plastic. It’s known for its high strength-to-density ratio.
Are the kennels stackable or modular?

Is the remote system waterproof or weather-resistant?
The remote and locking system are weather-resistant but not fully waterproof. Do not submerge any components in water. Light rain and outdoor use are safe under normal conditions.
Is the system Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connected?
No. The system uses dedicated wireless RF technology for fast, secure, interference-resistant communication between the fob and the kennel lock.
Can I connect multiple kennels to one fob?
No. Our system does not allow handlers to assign one fob to control multiple kennels.
Can this be used indoors or in homes?
Yes. While it’s built with professionals in mind, the kennel works great for home use, especially for owners seeking hands-free dog control.
Installation & Maintenance
Is the kennel easy to assemble?
Our crates arrive pre-assembled. If ordered any upgrades, those are also pre-assembled as well.
Does the system require regular maintenance?
Aside from checking battery levels and inspecting for physical damage, the system is designed for low-maintenance operation. Always keep the locking mechanism free of debris and dry.
What should I do if the fob stops working?
First, check the battery level and replace it if needed. If problems persist, contact us for troubleshooting or warranty service.
Can I hose down the kennel with electronics installed?
Yes – our kennel’s electronic components are weather-resistant and securely housed to allow for safe rinsing. However, avoid high-pressure washing directly on ports or the locking mechanism.
Can the kennel withstand extreme weather?
Absolutely. Guardian K9 kennels are engineered for durability and tested against rain, snow, heat, and cold. While it’s weather-resistant, we always recommend occasional inspection in extreme climates.

How will I know when the battery is low?

How do I reset or reprogram the fob?
